How Garment Remodelling Works
Every project begins with an inquiry and a close review of the garment and materials. Construction, seam allowances, fabric condition, and the requested fit all shape what can be achieved, so the consultation is always based on the item itself rather than a preset quote.
Once the redesign direction is clear, we prepare a concept scope and quote for approval. For garment remodelling projects, supplementary materials are quoted separately when needed, and the final result depends on the usable fabric, grain, and structure available in the original piece.
From first assessment to final collection, each step is planned around the garment in front of us.
Stitch Journey reshapes clothing with practical alterations, careful redesign, and upcycling that respects the fabric you already own.
Our work includes dress and skirt remodelling, shirt and jacket restyling, vintage-garment fit updates, and fabric-reuse accessory projects. Where available, we match original thread and trim, and we review the redesign concept before work begins so the plan stays realistic.
When the piece is ready, we complete a fit or finish review and check the garment again at collection. If a small final adjustment is needed, it is handled carefully without changing the agreed design, so the finished item stays aligned with the approved concept.
